Before making any decision about your pregnancy, you need key information that only an ultrasound can provide: Is the pregnancy viable? How far along are you? Is it safely located in your uterus? We answer all three — at no cost.
Regardless of what you decide about your pregnancy, an ultrasound gives you the medical facts you need first.
An ultrasound confirms whether the pregnancy is developing normally and has a detectable heartbeat. Up to 20% of known pregnancies end in natural miscarriage, so viability matters before any decision.
Gestational age determines what options are available to you, including the type of prenatal care you need. An ultrasound provides a more accurate date than counting from your last period.
An ultrasound rules out ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, a condition where the embryo implants outside the uterus. This is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
Here's what women ask most about our ultrasound services at A Hope Center.
During an ultrasound, a trained sonographer uses high-frequency sound waves to create an image of the inside of your uterus. A small handheld device called a transducer is placed on your abdomen (or sometimes internally for very early pregnancies).
The procedure is painless, non-invasive, and typically takes 15–20 minutes. You'll be able to see the screen and ask questions throughout.
An ultrasound gives you the clarity to make a confident, informed decision — whatever that decision may be. It's free, it's confidential, and no insurance is required.
